Michael Depp

Michael Depp oversees all content for NewsCheckMedia, LLC, serving as editor of its continuously updated industry news publication, TVNewsCheck and producing all the company’s annual conferences in partnership with the National Association of Broadcasters and Sports Video Group, along with virtual events and webinars. 

Previously, Depp served as editor-at-large for TVNewsCheck and as editor of its sister publication, NetNewsCheck, which covered all aspects of digital media. 

Prior to joining NewsCheckMedia, Depp was a correspondent for Reuters and a contributor to numerous publications and shows including NPR’s All Things Considered, Poets & Writers, The Chronicle of Higher Education and many more. He was also the past editor of Antigua-based West Indies Publishing and editor-at-large for The Louisiana Weekly, a historic Black newspaper.
