David Wright

Chief Commercial Officer at U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF)

David Wright currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer at the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF). Wright oversees all outward facing business units including marketing, communications, corporate partnerships, media, consumer products, events, and business ventures. Since joining USSF in 2020, the Federation has made several strategic moves including building a comprehensive commercial infrastructure, securing a record-breaking extension with Nike (the largest partnership in Federation history and among one of Nike’s largest global investments), breaking ground on the $250M Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center, and finalizing long-term partnerships with Warner Bros. Discovery and NBCU Telemundo. Top line revenue has increased by over 300% since officially launching the enhanced commercial team in January 2023, with contracted revenue now exceeding $1B. 

A Sports Business Journal Forty Under 40 Award recipient, Wright earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from Indiana University. While at IU, Wright was a key member of the Indiana University soccer team, winning four Big Ten Championships and competing in two NCAA College Cups (Final Fours). In addition, Wright received a Master of Science in sports management from the University of Massachusetts. Wright resides in the greater Atlanta area with his wife, Jaren, and two kids, Braeden, and Riley
